For Immediate Release

Celebrate Kamehameha Day and the memory of King Kamehameha
at the Kamehameha Festival on Moku Ola (Coconut Island).
Monday, June 11, 2018
10:00am to 4:00pm

This year’s Festival theme is E ‘Onipa‘a Kākou, “To be steadfast, established, firm, resolute and determined.” This was Queen Lili‘uokalani’s motto. This theme was chosen in honor of Queen Lili‘uokalani’s and in remembrance of the 125 anniversary of the illegal Overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawai‘i.

This year’s Festival will feature sweet Hawaiian music by some of Hawaii’s top musicians and the sharing of traditional dance by selected Hula Hālau throughout Hawai‘i. The Festival will also feature art and craft vendors and ono (delicious) food. Proudly presented by the Royal Order of Kamehameha, Māmalahoa, that was established in 1907. The Festival is free, open to the public, and remains a drug, alcohol, and tobacco, free event. We invite you to spend Kamehameha Day with us, on Mokuola, a day of Aloha for the entire ʻohana (family).
