1829 – Boki, Governor of Oʻahu departs on a Laʻau Ala (Sandlewood expedition) to the South Pacific with nearly 600 people and two ships. One ship returned August 1830 with only 12 Natives and 8 Foreigners onboard. 400 men perished, including Boki.
